Tito Nieves
Steven “Mambito” Cabral was born in New York City in 1990 where he was surrounded by music from all genres. He is of Puerto Rican and Dominican decent. Steven started playing drums, bongos, congas, timbales, and minor percussion at an early age in his local church.
Through his adolescent also played multiple instruments including trumpet, and clarinet. In high school Steven was part of the Percussion Ensemble learning to play orchestral instruments like timpani, vibraphone, and marimba. From 2004-2008 he was part of the Cypress Creek high school marching band, symphonic band, wind ensemble, jazz band, and drum captain of the drum line. In 2008 his high school won best drum line in the state of Florida. He was taught under music directors Adam Steff, and Jeff Willis. In 2008 he joined the Open Class Drum Corps Spokane Thunder and toured North America. In 2012 Steven graduated from the Florida Institute of Recording Sound and Technology.
Steven is currently on tour with Tito Nieves on in his 50th anniversary tour. Steve has also performed with Daniela Darcourt, Domingo Quiñones, Luisito Carrion, Ismael Miranda, Moncho Rivera, Willie Gonzalez, Luis Figueroa, George Lamond, Christian Alicea, Charlie Cruz, Kevin Ceballo, N’Klabe, Brenda K. Starr, Frankie Negron, Josimar y Su Yambu, David Kada, David Pabon, Rico Walker, Lebron Brothers, Edgar Joel, Oscar Arriaga, Roberto Lugo, Pedro Arroyo, Papo Sanchez, Moncho Santana, Pupi Santiago, Hector Rey, Revolucion Salsera, Puchi Colon, Chamaco Rivera, Hildemaro, Papo Sanchez, Jose (Papo) Rivera, Ruben Felix (Orquesta Xariz), David Y Abraham, Ezequiel Colon, Liquid Spiral and many more. Steven currently resides in Orlando, Florida.
