Rich Dart
Rich Dart has been a percussionist for over 30 years. The New York times called him "A remarkable percussionist" He is best known as the touring drummer for the Monkees and Micky Dolenz. The list of people he has performed with includes the late great, Lionel Hampton, Greg Piccolo, Mark Lindsay, Kim Shattuck, Gerry Corbetta (Sugarloaf), Al Anderson, Jimmy Vaughn, Rosie Flores, Kimberely Locke, Nellie’s Echo, Terry Sylvester of The Hollies and many, many more.
He has played on Broadway for the shows “Avenue Q” and “Pippin” as well as National Tours with both. He is a founding member of the popular Country/Rock band, Creamed Corn and is the current drummer with the popular Hockey Rock band, The Zambonis.
In the 1990s he had two top ten college radio hits with his band, The Maggies and has recorded with many artists and appears on several film and television soundtracks. Most recently, his marimba playing can be heard on the hit song, “Archipelago” by Dr. Westchesterson.
He has performed with many Orchestras in the Connecticut area including the Greater Bridgeport Symphony Orchestra.
