Edwin Clemente

Edwin Clemente is a Puerto Rican musician recognized as one of the best percussionists in the world. He currently works with his own orchestra with which he has produced four major musical productions; Timbal Pa'l Bailador, Aquí Traigo la Rumba Bailador, Dos generaciones en salsa and Viva Clemente, the latter in the Latin Jazz genre and the other three in the Salsa genre. 

His orchestra was selected to open the National Day of the Zalsa 2011, achieving a great presentation. He is also part of the orchestras of Richie Ray and Bobby Cruz, Ismael Miranda, Tommy Olivencia for history and PR. All Stars. 

He has participated in more than two hundred (200) musical productions, among the most important are; Richie Ray and Bobby Cruz "40 Aniversario", "Que Vuelve la Música", Ray Barreto "50 Aniversario", Jerry Rivera, Tony Vega, Olga Tañón (Grammy Awards), Lalo Rodríguez, Daddy Yankee, Manny Manuel, Eddie Santiago, Raw Alejandro, Ile la Cabra (Grammy Awards) and Puerto Rico All Stars among others. 

He is currently working as an educator at Fine Arts in Bayamón and Fine Arts Workshop in San Juan He has participated with great artists such as; José Feliciano, Eddie Palmieri, Fania All Stars, Bobby Valentin, Jose Alberto El Canario, Rubby Haddock, Jerry Riverea, Batacumbele, Cheo Feliciano, Tony Vega, Gilberto Santarosa, Don Omar, Daddy Yankee, Wisin y Yandel and Tego Calderón. 

He was invited by the PR Symphony Orchestra to accompany Richie Ray and Bobby Cruz in the Salsa Clásica concert series. He was invited to participate in the Richie Ray symphonic and Tony Vega 49+1 concerts held at Coca-Cola Music Hall in San Juan, PR. Also for the tour of the United States of the Viva Puente concert series directed by maestro Cuco Peña. 

Throughout his career he has visited different countries such as: France, England, Spain, Italy, Malaysia, Switzerland, Holland, Slovenia, Belgium, Germany, Japan, USA, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Colombia, Venezuela, Panama, El Salvador, Dominican Republic and Peru among others.
