Cody Leppo
Leppo, who recalls falling asleep listening to his father playing drums, picked up percussion early and stuck with it, joining school bands, the high school orchestra and a drum corps.
At 16, he was playing in a blues band with some friends when he got hired to drum for On the Rise, the backup band for musician Ronnie Dove.
Leppo toured with On the Rise for five years, backing up artists such as Tom Jones and Freddy "Boom Boom" Cannon.
After he turned 21, Leppo moved to Nashville, where he went to clubs in search of gigs. After an initial run of bad luck, Leppo met singer Eric Heatherly at Nashville'ís annual Fan Fair -- a four-day concert known nationally as the Country Music Association Music Festival. Leppo handed Heatherly his card. Days later, the Westminster transplant was on an international tour, his first time out of the country.
Cody Leppo is a highly sought after Nashville Based, Producer/Engineer, Session/Live Performance drummer. He has performed and recorded with artist'ís from all around the world.
Cody currently plays for country artist Jamey Johnson. He has also played with Hal Ketchum, John Rich, Keith Anderson, Johnny Hiland Band, Jacob Underwood (OTOWN), Erin James & many more...
Cody uses an assortment of Toca cowbells, shakers and tambourines.
