César Alencastre
César Alencastre, was born on April 13, 1988 in Callao, Peru. His passion for percussion was awakened at the age of 10, where he had his first contact with music.
He studied in a private school at the National Conservatory of Music, with teacher Juan Chavez (member of the OSN). At the age of 18 he joined the university symphonic band "Ricardo Palma", where he gained valuable experience. He also took classes with the respected Peruvian drummer "Alex Sarrín" and percussionist "Gigio Parodi", perfecting his level of performance.
He was part of many groups such as: Mangú International Orchestra, Hey Hey Camagüey, Los Barraza, and Willy Rivera to name a few.
He has more than 12 years of experience teaching percussion for children and young people at the C.E MAX in Breña shcool .
Cesar has also accompanied artists such as José Alberto El Canario, Andy Montañes, Cano Estremera, Hildemaro, Luisito Carrion, Tony Vega, Willy Gonzales, La Misma Gente, Maelo Ruiz, Charlie Cardona, Los Adolescentes, Roberto Blades, Irving Manuel, Oscar Arriaga and Hernan Olivera.
Currently he has been working in his own recording studio (2x2 Studio Music) doing recordings for various artists. He is also a band member for Peruvian singer Amy Gutierrez'ís orchestra.
