Alberto Vargas

Alberto Vargas is a Grammy-winning drummer and percussionist with a career spanning diverse musical styles. Starting professionally at the age of 16, Alberto has performed with renowned artists such as Gloria Estefan, Tecupae, Marco Barrientos, Israel Houghton, Hillsong, Kim Clement, Juanita Bynum, and Ingrid Rosario. He studied at the Maracaibo Conservatory of Music and Cepromusic School, launching a career that has earned him international recognition.

Highlights of his career include a Latin Grammy win with the Venezuelan band Voz Veis for their album Como Se Llega a Belén and Grammy nominations for his work with Nino Segarra and Tecupae. In addition to Toca Percussion, Alberto is proudly endorsed by Vater, Remo, Paiste, Rimusa, and Clear Tune Monitors.
