Bass Reflex Bongo Cajon

Applied physics makes this a bongo cajon like no other. Starting with a sturdy Mahogany plywood shell and musical tapa, the sound chamber is divided into two with the macho and hembra chambers physically separated. The macho chamber is completely sealed which raises the pitch, improves the slap response and adds overtones for more cut. Using the same bass reflex technology found in our most popular cajons, the hembra chamber is closed and ported. The port is tuned precisely to extend frequency range and increase projection. The net result is surprising musicality from a humble wood box.
