Van Romaine Using Drum-Set Add-Ons

Van Romaine stopped by the Toca recording studio to demonstrate several of Toca's drum set add ons. Currently on tour with Enrique Iglesias and Steve Morse, Van finds it easy to incorporate the instruments into his set up without having to reconfigure his kit. He works with a variety of artists and uses percussion to add sound and texture. Some of his favorite add ons include Jingle Snare, Jingle Hit, Static Whip and Mini Timbales.

Van Romaine's drumming first burst on the scene with the critically acclaimed Southern Steel, which was Steve Morse's first release with his new trio featuring Van and Dave La Rue on bass back in 1990. It won guitar album of the year in Guitar Player Magazine and would be the first of many recordings by the trio. In addition to Van's high visibility with the Steve Morse Band, he's keeps quite busy playing with a wide array of other notable artists.
